We can't guarantee jobs, but we help with job searches and interviews. Many employers are looking for the skills we teach.
Do I need prior science experience?
No science experience is needed. Just bring your interest in learning and willingness to try new things.
What types of jobs can I get after completing the Lab Technician Accelerator?
You can work as a Lab Tech, Lab Operations Specialist, or Support Staff. We partner with companies looking to hire entry-level lab workers.
What support is provided for students who have been out of school for a while?
Lab Ready teachers give one-on-one help during office hours. We make sure everyone gets the support they need to succeed.
Are there any prerequisites or assessment tests required before acceptance?
You only need a high school diploma or GED to apply. We recommend talking with our staff first to make sure the Lab Technician Accelerator fits your goals.
What exactly happens during the one-day Lab Experience Day?
You'll do hands-on lab activities and meet people who work in labs. It's a chance to try lab work and see if you like it.
What type of job placement success rate can participants expect?
Our program is new, so we don't have job placement numbers yet. We work with companies that need lab techs and help connect you to them.
Is there financial assistance available to participants in the Lab Technician Accelerator?
We plan to offer payment plans and scholarships. Our goal is to make the Lab Technician Accelerator affordable for everyone.
How much math and science do I need to remember from high school?
You need basic high school algebra for the calculations in our course. If you're unsure about your skills, reach out to us before applying.
What's the daily schedule like for the Lab Technician Accelerator?
The Lab Technician Accelerator runs about 4 hours per day, 5 days per week for 5-6 weeks. This includes field trips and some days off for holidays.
What will I actually do day-to-day as a Lab Tech if I get hired?
Lab Techs prepare samples, run tests, maintain equipment, and record results. You'll work with scientific instruments while following safety protocols and detailed procedures.
